Randomness

A few random thoughts and pictures today:

I love the sound of sleeping kids! I also love the sight of sleeping kids too. Emma probably won't be taking naps much longer - she is having issues with going to bed at night and when push comes to shove, I would probably rather her be in bed at night. I am trying to enjoy nap times as much as possible right now!

I love that my kids have learned to use their imaginations. Having no TV has been a good thing for us. I also love that they love to play with each other--most of the time. Check it out:

Annie and Jake ripped every page out of a notebook and stuffed Jake. He told me that he was the Incredible Hulk; I'm not even sure how he knows who that is?

Whenever I do laundry I can always find Emma playing in the empty spot in my closet--Leah followed her today. I'm so glad for kids, close in age, who like each other. Emma calls Leah her "best buddy". Last night, Leah tried to pat Emma's back, a little too hard, when Emma was sad. It's something that Emma has started to do to Leah too.

I witnessed a knock-down, drag-out wrestling match between Jake and Josh on Monday that made my jaw drop. I couldn't believe how mad they were at each other. Five minutes later, everything's A-OK--as a girl, I just don't get it? I would've have held a grudge for weeks. I'm still having trouble forgetting when my sister took a swing at me with a phone and hit me across the face. Thought my nose was broken for sure!

I need to work on being more patient with other people and their insecurities. I need to remember that everyone has something that they are dealing with, and although I might not agree, or feel that it is justified, it still might be a big deal for them. I need to be in the right place to help whenever I can - with what they need.

I love working on craft projects. I have not done one is so long, and I had forgotten how good it makes me feel to create something. I've been working on pieces for a felt playhouse, and I am so excited about what has been done. I've got a lot--a lot - still to do, but I am loving it! I'm glad that Annie gets excited for me about the things that I complete. She makes me feel good.

Emma is finally talking more--and repeating more of what we ask her to say. FINALLY! The kids got her to say "peace" yesterday, and she enjoyed their laughter and kept on doing it!

Although we liked playing on the basketball teams for Josh and Jake, we are soo glad that it is over. Last Saturday was our first one in awhile that we weren't in and out of gyms. It was a good experience and good for them to have something to expend their endless amounts of energy on (with games and practices), but we are soo glad to have our Saturday's back. What did we do, you ask? Nothing. Sorry their aren't any pictures/videos. The lighting in the gym was horrible, and everything that I did take has a sick hue of green--I should know how to fix it on my camera, but I don't.

I love hearing Leah jabber--Emma didn't do it, so I have enjoyed it more with Leah. I will have to say baby noises make my heart happy, and bring a smile to my face. I cannot believe that she will be one on Saturday!!

The kids are out of school, AGAIN, on Friday for Parent Teacher Conference. I'm totally bummed because I have to be at the school at 8:15 for the first meeting. I know that scheduling families with more than 1 kid can be a challenge - but don't they know that I like to sleep in with my kids!!! Seriously!

Well, I think that's all for today. Check you later!
