I didn't know it was in my mouth...

Last night as the kids were getting ready for bed, I was sitting on the stairs, when Josh came to me, his face pale, and eyes wide. He nervously managed to tell me that he had swallowed a penny. When I questioned him as to why he had a penny in his mouth, he paused for a few minutes. After thinking shortly, he looked at me, cocked his head, and straightfaced said "I didn't know it was in my mouth."
