A Tribute to Being One...

...and still not crawling, or walking for that matter. I can hardly believe that it has been an entire year since we brought our sweet Emma home. Although we were pretty comfortable after having Jake...I can't imagine what our home and family would be like without our Emma. Naturally, having a baby again, after a 4 year break, was life-changing, but has been gratifying all the same. Here are a few reasons why it is great to be one year old in the Maughan home.

*you have a brother, and a sister to carry you around, especially if you whine loud enough or long enough (which could explain why she doesn't crawl or walk).

*you have a brother who will always make silly faces at you.

*you get to have snacks whenever you want...goldfish, cereal, crackers and COOKIES!

*someone will always feed you some of their ice cream or otter pop!!

*you can have crazy hair and still be cute!

*there is always someone to pick up your toys off the floor (or your cup, or your food) and give it back to you...no matter how many times you drop it.

*when you cry, everyone pays attention to you!

*there is always someone to tell you how cute you are, no matter where you are, the grocery store, church, or even just getting out of bed.

...And we all agree, our little one year old, is really pretty cute, and we LOVE her!!
