I don't know what it is for sure, but I find myself actually enjoying Halloween holidays. For a very long time, Fall has been my favorite time of the year, but I have found that I have enjoyed Halloween more with each passing child. It's not about the candy or anything, I guess I just like putting up silly decorations in my house, and having an excuse to make silly foods, and what other time of the year can you play silly games like "Waiter, there's a head in my soup!". Kids can get such a kick out of the simplest things...and I love it.
Just last night we had a little get together, and our family made Ghost Nutter-butters, and breadstick bones, along with our Pumpkin Juice drink. Some of the other things we tasted were caramel apples, carrot "Finger-Food", and spider doughnuts. Hope you are all enjoying the holiday too!
Does anyone else remember having the round plastic pumkin treat bucket when they were a kid? These are exactly like mine when I was trick or treating and I can't pass them up for my own kids!!
