Well, we had just about the best Halloween that you could ask for living in Idaho Falls. It is truly amazing that it didn't snow on us this year--that seems to be the curse around here. Not only did it not snow, but it was warm enough to not wear coats and gloves, and boots, and hats and all our cold-weather gear! Jon even walked with the kids in just his short-sleeved t-shirt!
Our ward decided to do Trunk-or-Treating on Halloween night this year, which we attended, then hurried home to go around the block, and treat some tricker's that would come to our house. Before we left the church though, Josh and Jake won a prize for their costumes, which I, as their mother, gladly claim right to. They won the "Most Clever" costumes!! I consider it a prize for me! And I will loudly say that they were the cutest and best Mario and Luigi that I have ever seen! The kids at school and other trick or treater's were calling to them all day "Hey Mario, I just saw your brother Luigi." and vice versa. Then just imagine the kids saying it in their best Mario Brothers, Mario-Kart voices. It was great!
Annie was the sweetest M&M out there...she looked really cute while getting to look grown up at the same time. Emma wore her costume part of the night; long enough to take some pictures. It will be fun next year when she gets the idea of what Halloween is all about. She has figured out what candy is and that she likes it. Whenever she hears the rustling wrappers she comes running!
As it was, she really enjoyed answering the door with me. She would hurry to the door as fast as she could, stand there and point at all the costumed kids, and then she would wave "bye" to them as they hurried away. It was darling!
We couldn't have hoped for a better Halloween this year. Hope yours was great too!!
