Having a "Ball"

This afternoon, Jake got to celebrate his upcoming birthday with his friends. He has been planning and talking about a birthday party at Blast Off since Josh had his party there 2 years ago. He would often talk about who he would invite, and if you made him mad, it was not uncommon for him to say that you wouldn't be invited to his party at Blast Off. When we started talking about the party, I asked him who he wanted to invite. He was thoughtful for a minute, and then said, "Well I was thinking that since I am turning six years old, I would want to invite six people." I asked him who, and he proceeded to name five people...and stopped. Josh was standing over in the corner, barely able to contain himself, waving his hand, and finally shouting, "Me, Me, Invite Me!!". Needless to say, Josh got invited, and Jake came up with one more too.
It was a fun afternoon...and a very easy way to do a birthay party, especially for energetic little boys.,

The five boys teamed up in the ball pit, and wouldn't let anyone else in without getting pelted with the plastic balls,

they loved the rope swing,(if you can't tell, there are 3 boys swing on here at one time!!)
and I could barely get them to stop running long enough to eat pizza, or open presents.

Josh and Annie talked their Dad into playing a game of laser tag with them...and Josh was pretty bummed because their team "got creamed".

It was Emma's first time at the giant indoor playground, and once she got used to it (thanks to Annie, Sammy and Syd's coaxing), found that she really liked it, especially the "little" ball pit.

All in all, it was a great afternoon, and a great birthday party for our "almost" six year old!
