Just a few pictures of our Easter...

We did some really fun eggs this year. I had spotted a page from Martha Stewart's magazine about some really easy egg decorating ideas (with electrical tape). Even Josh got into it a bit. Look really closely at the colors...we dyed, and re-dyed to show/combine colors. Plus it helped that mom (grandma wall) gave us her "fresh" eggs that were already somewhat "colored", although it did make for a long time sitting in the dye for some of them. Jon refuses to dye eggs, and so we timed it just right to spend some time doing it while the little girls were sleeping. It was great fun!

Leah was trying so hard to get this plastic egg opened. I wish you could see the determination on her face. We did clean up jelly beans out of the carpet after she got a hold of an Easter basket in the morning.

Emma did great hunting eggs. Her brothers and sister taught her all about it the day before when they hid eggs for each other in the basement and took turns finding them all. She was excited to hunt eggs out at Grandma & Grandpa Maughan's until she dropped one in her bucket and it popped open. She was done after she saw that there was candy that she could readily get at. After that, she sat contentedly and ate. We did have a bit of wind, but not bad for Idaho considering it had been forecast for rain and snow. Although we considered it warm at 40 degrees, you can see that we still had some snow on the ground (with a few eggs in the drifts).

These are Annie & Josh's buckets. The egg hunt at Grandma & Grandpa Maughan's is better than any other around. You don't have to contend with hordes of kids, and you walk away with a haul, as you can see. They even found quarters in their eggs this year! It's pretty easy hunting, and we enjoy the candy for months! Yes, I do help my kids ration the sugar--and I only have to keep a really careful eye on one of my kids--Josh!
