New Thanksgiving Tradition

And it's a keeper. We'll keep doing this year after year at my house. So to remember and record...
Instead of having big meals all through our Thanksgiving holiday we decided that the dinner before Thanksgiving (wednesnday night) we would have PB & J sandwiches. We would then take the money that would have gone into that dinner and buy food to donate to the Food Bank. During the week leading up to Thanksgiving, my kids were also able to earn Service Dollars by doing service for other people, which they then donated to the Food Bank efforts. The kids had a great time picking out foods from the ads and doing the shopping! What a great lesson!! Thanks Melissa, for sharing your great idea with us!
