cleaning off the camera

I'm cleaning off the cameras tonight--and posting the odds and ends of stuff we've been doing this past month--in pictures...

Scary group, right? Actually they were great. This was Josh's birthday party. I was just so glad to know that he had friends--and it was really great to see how much they really like him and not just because we treated them to an hour's worth of laser tag either.

People often ask what Leah does all day, home alone with only me for company, while the other kids are at school. Well, this is definitely her very favorite thing to do, except she's usually watching Sesame Street--Elmo is king these days. I'm going to have to start monitereing her screen time!!

We tried out the Raingutter Regatta this month for Cub Scout Pack Meeting. It was GREAT! The boys loved it, we kept it really low key, very uncompetitive, and it was a really great night. I think everybody won some and everybody lost some. We have some boys in our pack that have some disabilities and it was really great to see other 8 and 9 year old's lose (purposely), so these boys could win. I would highly recommend doing this for any cub scout pack meeting.

One last Snowie event a couple of Saturday's ago; Shelley spud Days. I was convinced it would be a bust becuase it hadn't been that warm. Boy, was I wrong. Luckily Leah was okay sleeping in the chair while we worked. I never realized that lots of the vendors for the Blackfoot county fair are from Shelley--and they come out for this event. Who'd have thunk it--great family event! My boys loved watching the tug of war contest where the loser gets pulled into the pit of mashed potatoes.

Me & My Girls--these are the ladies that do Stroller Boot Camp with me. We decided about a week before the race to run in the Shelley Spud Days 5K. So, with little time to prepare, we did it (with a few other of the moms- not pictured here). All I will tell is that I completed the race in less time than I am years old. And I was pretty pleased to do that...and I only walked one short time. Maybe we'll do it again next year-with a little better goal in mind.
My day with the girls this week. I decided to let everything go that I needed to do, and took a day to be with my girls--at their pace. We went to the zoo before it closes for the season, and had an amazing day. All of the animals were out--the tiger roared at us, and the snow leopards were stalking and playing with each other--and these girls got to see whatever they wanted, and play on whatever they wanted for as long as they wanted. Such a great day!!

We were at the zoo with some of our friends for a little while in the day. This is Leah and Truman playing together. Em & Li-Li love their friends Benton & Truman.
